WATERLOO - Verna F. Spore, 79, of Waterloo, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born Aug. 13, 1934, in Waterloo, daughter of Frank and Laura Harrington Lincoln. She married Arnold D. Spore on Sept. 13, 1950, in Mason City; he died Oct. 29, 1992.

Mrs. Spore was a member of Hagerman Baptist Church, where she provided day care for many years.

Survived by two daughters, Frances Suender (Gene Miller) and Patty Spore (Dale Pohlman), both of Waterloo; thee sons, Dan (Sherrie), Randy (Penny) and Arnie Jr., all of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Harrington of California; and two sisters, Barbara Boyd of California and Emma Peterson of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Laura Suender; and a sister, Rose Harrington.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today and an hour before services Monday at the chapel.
