Obituary:

Jerry W. Hannan, 45 of Ankeny, passed away on, Tuesday, August 14, 2012, surrounded by his loving wife and beautiful daughters. Visitation will be at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ankeny on Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm with Prayer Service at 7:00 pm officiated by Pastor Tim Olson. Visitation will also be Friday, August 17, 2012 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home, Manchester. Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home in Manchester, IA, conducted by Pastor Tim Miller. Interment following service at Campton Cemetery, Lamont. Luncheon following graveside services at Legion Hall in Lamont.

Jerry was born January 5, 1967 in Waterloo, IA the son of Wayne and Pat Hannan. He graduated from Oelwein High School in 1985. Jerry and Jennifer (Becker) were united in marriage on July 1, 1995. Two children were born of this union, Danielle (Dani) and McKenzie (Kenzie).

Jerry worked as an electrician, later attending trade school receiving his certification in heating, cooling and refrigeration. Jerry has been employed with Excel Mechanical for the last 17 years.

Jerry enjoyed family vacations, watching movies, going for drives, and playing wii with his wife and daughters. He enjoyed spending time with their family dogs, Harley and Zoey. He also enjoyed working, spending time with friends and family, visiting the Becker family farm and deer hunting. The precious time and love he shared with Jenny, Dani and Kenzie will be cherished forever!

Survivors include his wife, Jenny; daughters, Dani and Kenzie; Father and Mother in-law, David and Joyce Becker of Dundee; his mother, Pat Hannan of Oelwein; brothers in-law, Chad (Billi) Becker -Dalton and Derek of Dundee, Jon (Michelle) Becker -Kylee, Sydnee and Hayden of Strawberry Point; Grandmothers, Jean Bandy and Jean Becker; his siblings, Lisa (Michael ) Yam -Austin of Cedar Rapids, Lorrie (Tim) Irvine of Castalia, Deb (Ken) Irvine of Postville, Vicki Fox of Dubuque, and Ann (Todd) Hannan of Oelwein.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Wayne on January 6, 2009.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the family at Bank Iowa in Lamont.
