WATERLOO - Darol Burge, 83, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Dec. 19, at Bridges Senior Lifestyle Living.

He was born Oct. 28, 1930, in Black River Falls, Wis., son of Wendell and Irene Wensel Burge. He married Mary Ann Oestreicher on July 9, 1955, in La Crosse, Wis.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a punch press operator at John Deere Tractor Works for over 32 years, retiring in 1987.

Survived by his wife; three sons, Daniel (Cathy) of Noblesville, Ind., David (Michele) of Centerville and Dale (Colleen) of Waterloo; two daughters, Deborah (George) Weich and Diane (Chuck) Hosier, both of Waterloo; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister-in-law, Joan Burge of Onalaska, Wis; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Nola Burge, Donna (Gaylord) Peterson and Dorothy (Miles) Sanborn; and a brother, Robert.

Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, with full military rites conducted by Evansdale AMVETS Post 31 and Waterloo AMVETS Post 19. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today and for an hour before services Monday.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
