WATERLOO - Darlene Anne Taylor Shreve-Lee, 83, of Waterloo, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital.

She was born June 22, 1930, in Waterloo, daughter of Ralph and Amelia "Millie" Garrette Taylor. She was married to Thomas Jefferson Shreve in 1957; they later divorced. She then married Kenneth F. Lee; he preceded her in death.

She was a senior companion working with the elderly.

Survived by six sons, Thomas (Renae) Shreve of Norfolk, Va., Marty and William Shreve, both of Waterloo, and Mark, Richard and Ron Heacock; four daughters, Christine Shreve and Terri (Bradly) Shreve-Bryant, both of Waterloo, Karen Cornwell and Linda Heacock-Coyer; 21 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; an infant child; seven brothers; and two sisters.

Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, An Overton Family Service, preceded by an hour of visitation.
