June L. Ballhagen, 64, of New Hartford, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, at the Waverly Health Center, Waverly.

She was born Feb. 28, 1945, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Lloyd and Marie Wildebuer Bush. On June 21, 1964, she married Jerry Ballhagen at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls.

She graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1963 and attended Pitze's Beauty School for a year. She was employed at Carol's Beauty Salon in Cedar Falls, the New Hartford Post Office and at Rabo Agri Finance (formerly Ag Services) until her retirement on Dec. 15, 2009.

Survived by her husband; two sons, Rod (Carol) of Allison and Brent (Janelle) of Parkersburg; a daughter, Mindy (Bron) Umthum of Waverly; her mother, Marie Bush of Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, James Aikey of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by her fatherl and a sister, Anne Aikey, in July 2009.

Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, New Hartford. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
