Services for Henry F. Hemenway, 68, of 520 Archer St., will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church with burial in Poyner Township Cemetery. Mr. Hemenway died of an apparent heart attack Saturday morning (July 4, 1987) in Paulding, Ohio.

He was born Nov. 7, 1918, son of Floyd and Sophia Buehner Hemenway. He married Betty Stocks on Dec. 6, 1941, in Lancaster, Mo. She died in 1972.

He resided and worked in the Waterloo and Dunkerton areas until his retirement. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include seven sons, Max and Thomas, both of Mississippi, Ronny, Fred and Anthony, all of Waterloo, Henry II of Indianapolis, Ind., and Phillip of Oelwein; four daughters, JoAnn Gardner of Paola, Kansas, Pepper Wright of Latty, Ohio, Teresa Vogel of Hot Springs, Ark., and Gloria Blankenship of Waterloo; 43 grandchildren; and three sisters, Esther Graham, Prissilla Miller and Crissilla Sturm, all of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, two grandchildren and a brother, Joseph.

A parish Scripture service will be 7 p.m. Tuesdat at O'Keefe &Towne- Carter & Waychoff Funeral Home where friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday.
