Services for George E. Miller, 86, of 1009 Calhoun St., are planned for Wednesday afternoon at Maywood Wesleyan Church with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mr. Miller died Sunday (July 5, 1987) at Covenant Medical Center-West Ninth. The cause of death is unavailable.

He was born Oct. 3, 1900, in Arlington, son of Charles Henry and Delia Boleyn Miller. He married Eva P. Harriman on Dec. 22, 1921, in Wadena. She died in 1983.

He was emloyed by Rath Packing Co. as a carpenter for several years, retiring in 1963.

Survivors include three sons, George J. Jr. of Evansdale, Jay D. Sr. of Waterloo and J. Dewey Jr. of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Violet May Strottman of Waterloo; a sister, Nellie Antwine, of Arlington; and nine grandchildren,and 20 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Darryl and Doyle; a daughter, Donna Lee Miller; a brother, Harold; and two sisters, Iva Miller and Erma Boleyn.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Garden View Chapel.

Memorials may be made to Maywood Wesleyan Church. Because of road construction, visitors should follow the access road in front of Logan Plaza and proceed north on Highway 63 to the funeral chapel.
