CEDAR FALLS—Robert W. Petersburg, 76, of Blair, Wis., formerly of Cedar Falls, died Friday, May 23, 1997, at Tri-County Memorial Hospital, Whitehall, Wis., after a brief illness.

He was born Oct. 26, 1920, in Albert Lea, Minn., son of John H. and Hazel Egdal Petersburg. He married Ar!o Toraason on Oct. 12, 1940, in Blair.

Mr. Petersburg owned and operated a real estate and insurance business in Cedar Fails for 15 years, taught business administration at the University of Northern Iowa, helped found the Lutheran Home, and recently retired as risk and insurance manager for Ashley Furniture, Arcadia, Wis. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II,

Survived by his wife; two daughters, Roxanne Hetzel of Dallas arid Roberta Perry of Sterling, Colo.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Eugene of Blair and Harlan of Brighton, Mich.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Blair, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Jack Funeral Home,
