WATERLOO - Lola M. Powell, 85, of Phoenix, formerly of Waterloo, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at Paradise Valley Hospital, Phoenix, of natural causes.

She was born March 6, 1915, in Floyd County, daughter of William and Mary Peddicord Crosby. She married Floyd D. Powell on May 13, 1934, in Shell Rock. He died Jan. 2, 1990.

Survived by a son, Bill D. of Waterloo; a daughter, Shirley M. Bohnsack of Phoenix; and 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two sons, Keith and Larry; and two sisters, Gladis Ucker and Mrs. George Keifer.

Family graveside memorial services will be later in Riverside Cemetery, Shell Rock. There will be no visitation. Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel-downtown is in charge of arrangements.
