EVANSDALE - Arlita Kay Nichols, 73, of Evansdale, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008 at Allen Memorial Hospital of non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

She was born July 11, 1934, in Waterloo, daughter of Forrest Henry and Eleanor Hansine Mork Sweeley. She married Lores Nichols June 15, 1952, at First Reformed Church, Evansdale.

Survived by her husband; a son, Larry of Evansdale; two daughters, Kim Johnson of Waterloo and Lori (Charles) Roman of Marion; and six grandchildren, Matthew (Jessica) Johnson, Stephanie Johnson, Natasha and Miranda Nichols and Maisie and Samuel Roman.

Preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Logan Neipert; and a sister, Benita McCormick.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Reformed Church, Evansdale, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family, where a memorial fund will be established at a later date.
