WATERLOO - Michelle D. Cook Wolterman, 37, of Walford, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, Jan. 3, at her home of a heart arrhythmia.

She was born Feb. 17, 1970, in Waterloo, daughter of Jerry and Sonya Annette Cook. She married Craig Wolterman March 8, 2003, at the Cedar Falls Rotary Reserve.

She graduated from West High, from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA and from the University of Iowa with an MBA. She had worked for Verizon (MCI) for 12 years as a business analyst.

Survived by her husband; a daughter, Emily Annette; her mother, Sonya (Dave) Snyder of Waterloo; her father, Jerry (Doreen) Cook of Cedar Falls; two sisters, Susan Cook and Shannon (Mark) Melcher, both of Waterloo; two nephews, Andrew and Benjamin Melcher; an aunt, Sheryl Annette; and her mother-in-law, Arlene (Denny) Alspach of Carroll.

Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ralph and Doris Annette; paternal grandparents, Gilbert and Mildred Cook; and her father-in-law, Raphael "Ray" Wolterman.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bethel Presbyterian Church, preceded by burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home.

A memorial fund will be established for Emily's education.
