WATERLOO - Francis "Wayne" Kimpston, 81, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

He was born July 17, 1926, in Smithfield Township, Fayette County, son of Francis and Pearl Proctor Kimpston. He farmed on his parents' farm in Hawkeye, then worked at Construction Machinery.

Survivors include three brothers, Howard P. of Waterloo, Richard B. (Anmarye) of Eden Prairie, Minn., and A. Bruce (Judy) of Des Moines; and a sister, Lois Heath of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Brockway and Leona Geimm.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, with burial in Hawkeye Cemetery, Hawkeye. Public visitation for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
