Services for George E. Davis, 62, of 111 Acadia St., will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Edwards Catholic Church with interment at Mount Olivet Mausoleum at a later date. There will be a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Oppold Funeral Home, where friends may call after 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Davis died Tuesday night at St. Francis Hospital.

He was born July 24, 1914, at Oskaloosa, the son of Arthur and Mary Davis. He served with the Army Medical Corps in Europe during World War II. He married Cleta Halbmaier Horton Nov. 12, 1949. He worked as a dispatcher for Iowa Public Service Co. for 27 years.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Dennis of Marion; and two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd
Wissink of Dunkerton, and Mrs. Herman Bakker of Aplington.

Memorials may be made to Columbus High School.
