Services for Marie Frederika Rasmussen, 86, of 921 Cutler St., who died at her home Monday morning, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Trinity American Lutheran Church with burial in Garden of Memories.

She was born June 30, 1894, in Faby Juland, Denmark, daughter of Rasmus and Marine Jensen Christensen. She married Niles Rasmussen Sept. 29, 1917, in West Branch. He died in 1976. They farmed near Dike until they moved to Waterloo in 1932.

She is survived by three sons, Alvin at home, Arthur of Marshalltown and Curtis of 1018 Bayard St.; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Cohea of 930 E. Airline Hwy. and Mrs. Margaret Straka of 1608 Heath St.; 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; a brother, Herman Christensen, and a sister, Mrs. Alma Dudley, both of Iowa City.

Friends may call at Parrott and Wood Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials may be given to the Trinity Lutheran Church Organ Fund.
