RAYMOND -- Vincent George Pfiffner, 83, of Raymond, died at home Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, of leukemia.

He was born Jan. 21, 1930, son of Raymond and Johanna Geib Pfiffner. He married Helen Dorothy Willits on Dec. 28, 1957, in Waterloo. She died May 9, 2010.

A 1947 graduate of Dunkerton High School, Dunkerton, Mr. Pfiffner was a self-employed electrician at Pfiffner Electric for 59 years, retiring in 2013. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survived by two sons, Steven (Leslie) of Kansas City, Mo., and Paul (Barb) of Ackley; two daughters, Anne Pfiffner of Waterloo and Karen (Bob) Luckeroth of Jesup; seven grandchildren, Lucas, Sydnie and Maggie Pffifner, and Alyssa, Haley, Lauryn and Lincoln Luckeroth; four stepgrandchildren, Justin, Aaron, Holly and Amber Petersen; and three brothers, Joseph (Vera) of Waterloo, Herbert (Jean) of Dunkerton and Cletus (Evelyn) of Oelwein.

Preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Francis; and a sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and William Kriegel.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Raymond, with burial in the church cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Nugent Demuth Post 714 of Gilbertville. Visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. vigil service at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
