WATERLOO - Annamae Myers, 85, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home of natural causes.

She was born Oct. 29, 1922, in Waterloo, daughter of Roy and Marie Christoffersen See. She married Floyd Hinrich on Sept. 6, 1941. He died Oct. 16, 1983. She later married Ivan Myers on Dec. 28, 1985. He died Feb. 13, 2000.

Mrs. Myers graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1941. She ran an in-home daycare for several years. In 1962 she took a job with State Farm Insurance Claims office and worked there until retiring in 1985.

Survivors include three daughters, Dee (Calvin) Thompson of Huntsville, Ala., Sue (Marvin) Luhring of Hudson and Kathy (Jim) Eggleston of Sun City, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, Greg, Angie, Paul, Leo, Cheri, Kelly and Julie; 16 great-grandchildren, Camilla, Kent, Elizabeth, Elisha, Emily, Isaac, Grace, Shannon, Ben, Chelsi, Bailey, Austin, Hannah, Emily, Owen and Emma; and a great-great-grandchild, Dominic.

Preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Myers; and two brothers, Russell and Wayne See.

Services were 10 a.m. today at Ascension Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice Home or the church.

Annamae had a love for life; she also loved her church, where she remained very active Ascension Lutheran Church until most recently. One of her favorite things in life though was being with her family and grandchildren. She always had a warm bed ready for them to come and visit.
