WATERLOO - Pauline M. Differding, 87, of Friendship Village, died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at Friendship Village Retirement Center of natural causes.

She was born Aug. 3, 1918, in Independence, daughter of Homer and Minnie J. Follmer Soules. She married Lynn G. Differding June 18, 1948. They were later divorced.

She graduated from Gates Business College and worked for Winterbottom Supply, Waterloo Corrugated Box and was bookkeeper for National Cattle Congress, retiring in 1984.

She was a member of Waterloo First United Methodist Church.

Survived by many special friends.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Merle Soules.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Wilson Cemetery, Independence. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
