Hezekiah Cornell, 63, of 1303 E. 4th St., died of complications following surgery Wednesday at 10:45 a. m. at St. Francis Hospital where he had been a patient several weeks.

Mr. Cornell was born Dec. 18, 1894, in Texas. He came to Waterloo in 1942 and for 10 years was proter at the Paramount Theater.

He married Mrs. Pearl Moore May 23, 1957. Mr Cornell was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Bleecy Henderson, of Los Angeles, Calif., a stepson, James E. Rhodes, Washington, D. C., three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are pending at the Kistner Funeral Home.
