Mrs. Peter N. Murphy, 65, lifelong resident of Blessing and Eagle Center, died at 3:15 p. m. Saturday in St. Francis Hospital following a stroke she suffered a week ago at her home, one mile west and one-half mile south of Blessing.

Born Anna Louise Weber in Eagle Township on Mar. 15, 1879, she was married in 1910 to Peter W. Murphy at Eagle Center. They made their home in Lincoln Township,

Surviving are the husband, now a patient in a Dubuque hospital; one son, Joseph, Lincoln Township; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond Klein, Route 6, Waterloo; a sister, Mrs. John Jungen, Route 5, Waterloo, and a brother, Louis Weber, Route 1, Hudson.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Blessing and a member of the Rosary society of that perish.

The body was taken to the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home and will be returned to the family residence Sunday afternoon.

Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Blessing by Rev. Fr. Joseph Schemmel, pastor. Burial will be at Blessing.
