CEDAR FALLS - Allen J. "Al" or Pete Petersen, 66, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

He was born May 28, 1947, in Cedar Falls, son of Herman and Eleanor Frank Petersen. He married Peggy Stainbrook on June 11, 1967, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.

He graduated from Cedar Falls High School and served in the Army National Guard. He was employed as a machinist with Wayne Engineering, retiring in 2009.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Brian (Lyn) of Dike and Ross of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren, Brandon, Brady, Bryce and Katelyn Petersen and Dakota East; a brother, Marv (Karen) of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Lori (Larry) Meyer of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Russell.

Memorial services: 4:30 p.m. Monday at Nazareth Lutheran Church Chapel with visitation for an hour before services.
