Services for Leona Kuhn, 90, of Colonial Manor Nursing Home, LaPorte City and formerly of 1301 Hawthorne Ave., will be 11 a.m. Monday at Grace United Methodist Church, with burial in Brandon Cemetery, Brandon. Mrs. Kuhn died at Colonial Manor Nursing Home Friday (Jan. 22, 1988) following a lengthy illness.

She was born Jan. 20, 1898 in Brandon, the daughter of John and Bertha Laura Young Meggers. She married Roy Kuhn Feb. 16, 1915 in Brandon. He died March 13, 1958.

She worked at Chamberlain Manufacturing [Waterloo] from 1952 till her retirement in 1963.

Survivors include three sons, Matthew of 925 Easton, Floyd of Lament and Leonard of Independence; a daughter, Lorene Timson of Fremont, Neb.; two sisters, Viola Forsyth of Brandon and Mary Cannon of Independence; 11 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Carl; two grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond and John and a sister, Lucy Belle Meggers.

Friends may call at the Locke Funeral Home after 1 p.m. today where the family will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m.
