WATERLOO - Wells F. "Bud" Fossler, 81, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at his home of natural causes.

He was born Feb. 13, 1925, in Waterloo, son of Wells K. and Ella Croot Fossler. He married Delores Monahan on June 7, 1945, in Waterloo. They were later divorced.

Mr. Fossler drove truck for the Railway Express in Waterloo. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survived by a son, Gary (Terry) of Riverside, Calif.; three daughters, Colleen Whitsell of Boise, Idaho, Monica (Rick) Pilot of Nampa, Idaho, and Teresa Lampkin of Temecula, Calif.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Norma (Harlan "Herb") Boysen of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Avis Dense and Florence Mehlhorn.

Services: 2 p.m. Monday at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post No. 138 and the VFW Post 1623. Public visitation from noon until service time Monday at the funeral home.
