WATERLOO - Eleanor E. Meister, 88, of Waterloo and rural Chatfield, Minn., died Thursday, June 22, 2006, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester, Minn.

She was born Oct. 17, 1917, in rural Chatfield, daughter of Charles and Clara Baker. She married Edwin E. Meister on April 26, 1953. He preceded her in death Feb. 23, 1997.

Survived by two daughters, Karen (Wayne) Johnson of North Liberty and Debra Meister of Waterloo and rural Chatfield; two grandchildren, Amanda and Ross Johnson; and a sister, Lucille Baker of Chatfield.

Preceded in death by a brother, Calvin.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.
