Funeral services for Thomas Henry Springer 85, who was found dead at his home, 323 Broadway, Wednesday morning, will be Saturday at 9 a. m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Raphael Grahl, O.F.M, pastor, officiating. A physician attributed his death to cerebral hemorrhage.

Born Dec. 17, 1863, in Medford, N. J., he was the son of Henry and Mary Springer. He married Mary Jinara in Philadelphia, Pa.. July 28, 1807, and they moved to Waterloo 46 years ago.

Mr. Springer invented one of the earliest cream separators used in the United States. It was produced by Iowa Dairy Separator Co, for whom he served as foreman for 18 years. Later he operated the Springer Treatment Device Co. Mr. Springer was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and of Waterloo Lodge 290 B.P.O. Elks

Surviving are his wife: five sons: Harry and Ralph, Los Angeles, Cal., Joseph, Beverly Hills, Cal., Leonard, Evanston, Ill., and Wilbur, Okoboji. Ia.: and three daughters, Miss Helen Springer, Los Angeles, Cal., Mrs. Florence Grayling, Beverly Hills, Cal., and Sister Mary Stamsia, B.V.M, New Hampton, Ia.

One daughter preceded him in death.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
