WATERLOO -- Kevin Terry Phillips, 64, of Lexington, Ky., formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013.

He was born Oct. 25, 1949, in Waterloo, son of Roger and Josephine Lorang Phillips. He married Linda Lee Cairnes in Lexington.

Mr. Phillips had been employed at John Deere as an electrician and also was a local Realtor. He retired from the University of Kentucky, where he worked as a bio technician in clinical engineering. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of Athens Christian Church.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Edward (Rebecca) Phillips of Portland, Ore., and Todd (Treacy) Phillips of Phoenix; four grandchildren; five brothers, Randy, Rick, Steve, Tim and Scott; and seven sisters, Kathy Phillips, Patty Jump, Deb Allen, Gail Fencl, Ruth Roths, Ronda Moody and Nancy Post.

Preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Mark; and a sister, Mary Jo Phillips.

Celebration of Life: 11 a.m. Friday at Milward – Man O’ War, 1509 Trent Blvd., Lexington, with a reception to follow. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, Ky, with military rites.
