WATERLOO - Betty Winninger, 86, of Lakeview Lodge of Friendship Village, died there Monday, Nov. 4, 2013.

She was born Jan. 26, 1927, in Waterloo, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Murphy McGrane. She married Lawrence M. Winninger on June 16, 1947.

She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1944. Mrs. Winninger was active with St. Edward Catholic Church, St. Edward School and Columbus High School.

Survived by her husband; two sons: Thomas (Lynne) of Edina, Minn., and Mark (Kathy) of Waterloo; a daughter, Ann (Steve) Wilbur of Thornton, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren;a great-great-grandson; two sisters, Pat (Chuck) Anders and Jean Klein; a sister-in-law, Betty (Ben) Bernardi; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial at a later date. The family will greet friends following the service at the church. Arrangements by Locke Funeral Home Inc.

Memorials may be directed to St. Edward Catholic Church.
