Mrs. Joe Ganz, 78, of 315 East Second Street, died as a result of a stroke of apoplexy at 1 a.m. Thursday at her home.

Born Laura Virginia Trenor Sept. 16, 1867, in Burlington, Ia., the daughter of James and Betty Trenor, she was married to Joe Ganz Mar. 20, 1895, at Burlington. The couple came to Waterloo in 1909.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Frank, San Francisco; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Nelson, at home; two grandchildren, Mrs. Frank Conway and Stephen Conway, at home, and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by one son, two brothers, and one sister.

The body is at Locke Funeral Home.
