Mary Barryhill, 67, of Lake Panasoffkee, Fla., formerly of Waterloo, died Aug. 27, 1993, in Tampa, Fla., of natural causes.

She was born June 9, 1926, in Emerson, Mo., daughter of William and Rosetia Mae Grindle Hanley. She married Lawrence McGowan on April 11, 1944. They were divorced. She married Walter Barryhill March 1, 1952, in Nashua.

Mrs. Barryhill was a cook and waitress in many Waterloo restaurants, last working at Friedl's Prime Rib Room. She moved to Florida in 1976.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mary Jones of Chattanooga, Tenn.; four sons, Danny McGowan of Waterloo, Barry Barryhill of Indianapolis, Ind., Craig Barryhill of Van Meter and Wayne Barryhill of Lake Panasoffkee; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lucille Slice of St. Petersburg, Fla., Ina Berry of Evansdale and Annie Plumber of Jesup; and a brother, Elvin Hanley of Quincy, Ill.

Committal services were Aug. 30 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, was in charge of arrangements.
