Services for Zelda Heerkes, 87, of 1015 Washington St., will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Chapel of Memories West, with burial in Garden of Memories. She died Wednesday night at Parkview Gardens Care Center

Mrs. Heerkes was born June 27, 1893, in Toledo. Ohio, daughter of William and Alzada Lockhart Latimer. She married Elward G. Heerkes Feb 15, 1917. in Dumont. He died Feb. 8, 1976.

She is survived by a son, Ray of Washburn; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Myers of Evansdale and Miss Mabel Heerkes of Waterloo; four grandchildren: 13 great-grandchildren: and two sisters. Mrs. Augusta Kezar of Waterloo and Mrs Mina Harden of Cedar Fails.

Friends may call at Chapel of Memories West after 6 a.m. Thursday.
