WATERLOO - Betty Ann Seaton, 83, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at Allen Hospital.

She was born Aug. 27, 1930, in Glenwood, daughter of George and Hazel Morey White. She married Bernard Abbott in 1961, and he preceded her in death. She married Ernest Seaton in 1968, in Galena, Ill., and they later divorced.

She graduated from Glenwood High School in Glenwood in 1951. She worked as a nurse’s aide in a mental hospital in Omaha, Neb. She also had various jobs in Waterloo.

Survived by two sons, Tony and Donald Abbott, both of Waterloo; and two grandsons, Michael Abbott and Gabriel Sullivan.

Preceded in death by two daughters, Hazel Ann in infancy and Sally Sullivan; six brothers, Chester, Richard, George, Ivan, Lawrence and Marion White; and a sister, Louise Kruger.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and also for an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
