WATERLOO -- William "Bill" Donovan, 70, of Phoenix, formerly of Waterloo, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, in Scottsdale, Ariz., after a sudden illness.

He was born in 1943.

Mr. Donovan moved to Waterloo in 1979 when he bought the International truck dealership, later known as Donovan International Trucks. When that business closed in 1987, he relocated to Kansas City and continued his career with KCR International Trucks, and then later retired to Phoenix.

Survived by two daughters, Suzanne Danesi of Scottsdale and Lindsey Donovan of Phoenix; two grandchildren, Alex and Chloe Danesi; and a great-grandchild, James Danesi.

Memorial services: 2 to 3 p.m. Nov. 9 at United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Maysville, Mo., followed immediately by a casual reception at Flannery's. Photos and stories are welcome.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be directed to the American Cancer Society or Scottsdale Elks Lodge 2148.

Bill lived and traveled all over the United States and spread love, friendship and laughter everywhere he went.
