CEADR FALLS -- Betty J. Baker Hansen, 86, of Reinbeck, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Oct. 25, at Parkview Manor, Reinbeck, while under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice.

She was born Sept. 12, 1927, in Ionia, daughter of Joseph and Mildred Brown Green. She married Curtis M. Baker March 27, 1946. He died on March 1, 1975. She married Mervin "Moe" Hansen of Dike on April 9, 1977. He died Oct. 18, 2013.

She lived and worked in the Cedar Falls area until she and Moe moved to Rush Lake, Minn. She worked at Valley Park Lanes for many years.

Survived by two daughters, Jo (JP) Baker-Caffero (JP) of Salmon, Idaho, and Valari (Frank) Szall of Florissant, Colo.; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Beverly Boyd, a brother, Bud Green; and two granddaughters.

Services: Celebration of Betty’s life will be announced and held at a later date. Engelkes-Abels Dike Chapel is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a charitable donation.
