Services for Elsie M. Francis, 80, of Brooklyn Park, Minn., formerly of Waterloo, will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories. Mrs. Francis died Friday afternoon (Sept. 2, 1988) at Mercy Medical Center, Coon Rapids, Minn., of cancer.

She was born Dec. 7, 1907, in Carroll, daughter of Eilert H. and Lena Dose Auen. She married Melvin H. Francis Aug. 6, 1925, in Lake City. He died Sept. 7, 1981.

Survivors include a son, Merlin J. of Gassville, Ark.; three daughters, Mrs. Erma Ross of Alexandria, La., Mrs. Zella Mae Holloway of Hollister, Mo., and Mrs. Beverly Lindsay of Brooklyn Park; 14 grandhciodfen; 15 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Jane Brisben of Council Bouffs, Mrs. Christine Jones of Boone and Mrs. Helen Oswald of Breda.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers.

Friends may call at the funeral home 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until services Tuesday.
