WATERLOO —Virginia R. Selix, 81, of Waterloo, died at home Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, of natural causes.

She was born Aug. 19, 1923, in Sioux Falls, S.D., daughter of William and Margaret Alice Brogan Ramsell. She married Keith D. Selix on Jan. 29, 1955, in Waterloo.

Mrs. Selix graduated from Waterloo West High School. She was employed as a clerk with Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1980. Virginia Selix

Survivors include her husband; and two daughters, Kimberlee Kae Selix of Waterloo and Rebecca Marie Selix of Cedar Rapids.

Preceded in death by five brothers, John "Jack," Tom, William, Clifford "Red," and Donald Ramsell; and six sisters: Sara Forsberg, Victoria Ramsell, Gladys Gurek, Lillian Ramsell, Marguerite Shaw and Dolores O'Donnell.

Private committal services will be held in Wayside Cemetery, Chapin, in the spring. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Bend Humane Society.
