WATERLOO - Thelma E. Garrison, 95, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

She was born June 16, 1918, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Albert and Louise Ofstenthun Dennis. She married Robert W. Garrison on Sept. 3, 1939, in Nashua; he died Nov. 5, 2005.

She was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School and attended Iowa State Teachers College. Mrs. Garrison worked in bookkeeping and sales at her husband's business, Garrison TV & Appliance, until 1980. She was member of First Christian Church, Cedar Falls.

Survived by two daughters, Sue (Wayne) Wilson of Washburn and Nancy (Robert) Kennedy of Webster; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two sons, Robert D., and David in infancy; two grandchildren; a brother, Joseph E. Dennis; and a sister, Lorraine Golden.

Family graveside services will be at a later date at Finchford Cemetery, Finchford. Locke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to First Christian Church, Cedar Falls.
