WATERLOO - William C. "Bill" Zikuda, 84, of Waterloo, died Saturday, June 25, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

He was born June 3, 1921, in Protivin, son of Ladislav and Henrietta Cerny Zikuda. He married Dorothy Anne Aberg on July 27, 1941, in Cresco.

Mr. Zikuda was a foundry supervisor for John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 32 years, retiring in 1979. After retiring he worked as a tour guide at John Deere for many years.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenneth (Karen) of Waterloo; a daughter, Carol (Gus) Puth of Cadiz, Ky.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Patricia McKinstry of Rapid City, S.D., Pauline McKee of Antioch, Ill., and Henrietta Gress of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by four brothers, Henry and Ladislav, both in infancy, a stillborn brother, and Jerry; and three sisters, Mary Robison, Caroline Cameron and Georgina Roe.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Kimball Avenue United Methodist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
