TYLER, GREGORY, SPERRY, OLDS, DOLAN SCHWARZ

Joseph H. Tyler, 64. Davenport, Ia., former Waterloo resident, died Thursday at 7 p. m. at his home in Day after a week's illness of complications of diseases. He was the father of Earl Tyler. 81 Thirteenth Street West, and Mrs. Iva Sperry, 310 Tenth Street West, Waterloo.

Joseph Tyler, son of Joseph and Helen Tyler, was born Oct. 16, 1866 at McGregor, Iowa. He married Emma Gregory at Charles City, Iowa, and the couple moved to Waterloo about 1891.

Tyler was an iron molder and was employed by Headford Bros. & Hitchins Foundry Co. He was a member of Waterloo local, No. 459 Iron Molders Union. After 30 years' residence here Tyler moved to Davenport.

Surviving are three sons: Earl Tyler, Waterloo, and Carl Tyler and Howard Tyler, both of Davenport; six daughters: Mrs. Iva Sperry, Waterloo; Mrs. Harry Olds, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. James Dolan, Chicago; Mrs. William Schwarz, Jesup, Iowa, and Betty Tyler and Florence Tyler both at Davenport, and two brothers, Charles Tyler, Elma, Iowa, and Fred Tyler, Canada.

The body will be brought to Waterloo Saturday morning and funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Central Christian Church of which Tyler was a member during his Waterloo residence. Rev. Lew C. Harris, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
