Carrie Bell (Coonrod) Strain

Funeral services for Mrs. Robert Strain, 57, who died at 2:30 p. m. Monday at her home, 1009 Grant Avenue, of a complication of ailments, will be conducted at 10 a. m. Thursday in the Kearns Garden chapel by Rev. G. E. Melchert, pastor of Trinity American Lutheran church.

There will be another service at 2:30 p. m. Thursday in North Manchester church, Manchester, la., and burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Manchester. Six members of Waterloo local of the Carpenters' union, of which Mr. Strain is a member, will be
casket bearers.

Mrs. Strain was born March 14, 1886, in Shelby County, Missouri, as Carrie Bell Coonrod, daughter of John and Ida Coonrod. She was married to Robert S. Strain at Manchester in 1010 and had lived here for 20 years. The family came here from Manchester.

Surviving are the husband; a son, Richard, Dunkerton, la.; a daughter, Mrs. Ellis Harrison, 1009
Grant Avenue; a brother, J. C. Coonrod, Oelwein, la., and a sister, Mrs. George Baldwin, Elmore, Minn. There are also four grandchildren.
