WATERLOO, IOWA — Larry Wayne Wilson, 59, of Smyrna, Georgia, and formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, September 1, 1998, at Wellslar Cobb Hospital, Austell, Georgia, from complications following surgery.

He was born February 27, 1939 in Waterloo, son of Donald S. and Ruby Harper Wilson. He married Eleanor "Ellie" L. Kammerdiner on October 14, 1978, in Reno, Nevada.

Mr. Wilson was a permit specialist for Trism Specialized Carrier, Kennesaw, Georgia, for 22 years.

Survived by three sons, Steven Williams of Nixa, Mo., Chris Williams of Marietta, Ga.. and Scott L. Wilson of Chicago; three daughters. Kathy Helton and Michele Wilson, both of Smyrna, and Loree De Cola of Chicago; eight grandchildren; and two sisters, Jean Williamson of Peoria, Illinois, and Laurel "Lolly" Youngblut of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a brother, Arnold "Tub" Wilson; and his parents.

Services: 11 Sun. Saturday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service, South Street, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and for an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
