LA PORTE CITY — Zola F. Bagenstos, 80, of 403 Schull Ave., died Wednesday, May 5, 1993, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, of a stroke.

She was born Nov. 20, 1912, in Grinnell, daughter of Taylor and Alice Mae Clark Tarvin. She married Edward C. Bagenstos on Nov. 18, 1931, in Cedar Rapids. He died March 22, 1973.

Mrs. Bagenstos worked for Sieberts Laundry for 22 years.

Survivors include three sons, Douglas of Waterloo, Eugene of Colorado Springs, Colo:, and Lewis of La Porte City; two daughters, Zoe Maddex of Marengo and Rayona Roszell of La Porte City; 15 grandchildren; 27 greatgrandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Vivian Florang of Mojave Valley, Ariz., and Mildred Kendall of Ontario, Ore.

She was preceded in death by a son, Merlin; a grandson; a great-grandson; and a brother Oramel
Tarvin.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, with burial in West View Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Huisman Funeral Home, where there will a be 7:30 p.m. wake service.
