WATERLOO -- Timothy John “Tim” Hoppe, 52, of Waterloo, died at home Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013.

He was born June 29, 1961, in Waterloo, son of Kenneth and Marilyn Draheim Hoppe. He married Chanel Roberts and they later divorced.

He graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1979, attended Hawkeye Institute of Technology and served in the U.S. Navy with the Seabees. Mr. Hoppe was employed as a machinist at John Deere and was a member of UAW Local 838.

Survived by two stepdaughters, Sydney Osmundson and Anna Osmundson, both of Waterloo; a stepgranddaughter, Lillian; two brothers, Michael (Nancy) of Ocala, Fla., and Todd (Paige) of Waterloo; a sister, Amy (Dan) Olson of Waterloo; a brother-in-law, Jerry Budke of Waterloo; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Debbie Budke.

Memorial services: 4 p.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home, preceded by burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:30 p.m. until services Monday at the funeral home.

Tim was a die-hard Cowboys fan and passionate about fishing. He was his nieces and nephews "favorite" uncle.
