LA PORTE CITY — Mary "Dottie" Welch, 66, of 207 Walnut St., died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1993, at the Covenant Medical Center emergency room, Waterloo, of natural causes.

She was born April 14, 1927, in La Porte City, daughter of Shan and Marian Kline Davis. She was formerly a cook at Lindsay's A&W in La Porte City.

Survived by two sons, George of Cedar Falls and Samuel of La Porte City; two daughters, Colleen Poole of Tampa, Fla., and Marian Terry of North Miami, Okla.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; her mother of La Porte City; a brother, Shan Davis Jr., of La Porte City; and four sisters, Phyllis Foster of La Porte City, Leslie Mullnix of Mount Auburn, Sharon Timson of La Porte City and Ruth Howrey of Pine Top, Ariz.

Preceded in death by a sister, Joarin Grove.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with burial in West View Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Huisman Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.
