[Waterloo Daily Courier, Thursday, September 15, 1955, Waterloo, Iowa]

Mrs. Walter J. Blink, 62, of 3350 Falls Ave., died at 7:30 a. m. Thursday at her home. Death was due to complications of diabetes and heart disease.

She was born June 26, 1893, Amelia Schroeder, the daughter of John and Antoinetta Schroeder, of Dyersville. She was graduated from Francis Xavier High School in Dyersville. She was married to Walter Blink Jan. 11, 1916, in Dubuque. Following their, marriage they lived in State Center until coming to Waterloo in 1922. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and of the Rosary Society of the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Donald Stedman, of 148 Harrison St., and Mrs. John Points, of Eugene, Ore., one son, Lyle, of Wellston, Mo., one brother, Ben Schroeder, of Chicago, and eight grandchildren.

The body may be seen at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home after 10 a. m. Friday. Funeral services are pending.

Funeral services will be at 9 a. m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church for Mrs. Walter J. Blink, 62, of 3350 Falls Ave., who died Thursday. Officiating will be the Rev. Jacob Roth. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Members of the St. John's Rosary Society will meet at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home at 7 p. m. Sunday.
