EVANSDALE - Clayton "Clay" J. Loffredo, 47, of Evansdale, died Wednesday, April 13, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

He was born Sept. 3, 1957, in St. Paul, Minn., son of James D. and Marion A. Baker Loffredo. He married Dawn Haasis and they were later divorced. He married Melinda Kline on Sept. 4, 1980, in Waterloo.

Mr. Loffredo served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was employed with OMJC Signal Inc. and was also an over-the-road truck driver.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Nick (Pattie) of Waverly and Chad of Evansdale; two daughters, Stephanie Haasis and Keeley (Shawn) Tory, both of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Hunter and Ellie Ann Loffredo; his mother of Elk Run Heights; his mother-in-law, Sandy (Richard Nelson) Kline of Elk Run Heights; two brothers, Christopher of Elk Run Heights and Craig (Connie) of Webster City; and four sisters, Kathie (John) Ohrt, Karen (Chuck) Storey and Kara Nelson, all of Waterloo, and Kristin (Gary) Wenzel of Reinbeck; and a sister-in-law, Melodie (Carl Janssen) Kline of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his father; his father-in-law, Vallie Kline; his grandparents, Frank and Mabelle Loffredo and George and Geneva Baker; and a nephew, Noah Wenzel.

Services: 12:30 p.m. Monday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Pleasant and Garden, Cedar Falls, with a 3:30 p.m. graveside service in Alcock Cemetery, rural Tripoli. Military rites will be conducted by Brandenburg-Krueger Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4013. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo, and from 10 a.m. until noon Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
