Zelma R. Limkemann was born on May 25, 1930, the daughter of Ethel Cutler in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On September 30, 1972, she was united in marriage to Joseph Limkemann in Waverly, Iowa. She was a nurse's aid at Allen Memorial Hospital for twenty years, before becoming a Home Health Care Provider until her retirement in 1992. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Waverly.

Zelma is survived by her husband, Joseph; five step-daughters, Mary (Steve) Hall of Essex, Iowa, Bonnie (Wes) Wilson of Schuyler, Nebraska, Alice (Harold) Spencer of Holtsummit, Missouri, Clara Prokes of Schuyler, Nebraska, Donna Limkemann of Cedar Falls, Iowa; one step-son, Joseph (Diane) Limkemann of Cedar Falls, Iowa; fifteen step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren, three half-sisters, Pat Preece of Cedar Falls, Iowa, June Hansen of Campbelleville, Kentucky, Jean Bolhuis of Florida; and one half-brother, Robert Cutler of Campbelleville, Kentucky.

Zelma died on Thursday, April 14, 2005, at Christus Spohn Hospital in Beeville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel.

Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, April 23, 2005, at the First Baptist Church in Waverly, Iowa.
