WATERLOO - Daniel James "Dan" Moody, 45, of Waterloo, died at home June 10, 2005.

He was born June 26, 1959, in Waterloo, son of Claude M. and Irene Johnson Moody. He graduated from Central High School in 1977 and received both his bachelors degree in political science and masters degree in history from the University of Northern Iowa. He taught government in the police science department at Hawkeye Community College.

Survivors include his mother of Waterloo; a brother, Joe (Cindy) of Cedar Falls; a niece, Kaitlyn Moody of Cedar Falls; and a nephew, Matthew Moody of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Elmer John and Thomas; and a sister, Annett.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ansgar Lutheran Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. There will be no visitation, his body was cremated. Locke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to charity of donors choice.
