WATERLOO — William C. "Bill" Ham, 78, of 3204 Bristol Road, died Thursday, June 9, 2005, at home of cancer.

He was born Aug. 20, 1926, in Waterloo, son of Lavonne and Gladys Stevens Ham. He married Peggy Kittrell on May 6, 1945, at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Mr. Ham graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1944. He worked at Matt Parrott Printing Co. for 58 years, retiring in 2002.

Survived by his wife; a son, Craig (Paddy) of Waterloo; a daughter, Susan (Tom) Martin of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Whitney Kidder, Brady Martin, Andrea Garrison and Chad Ham; William Ham two great-grandsons, Connor and Caleb Ham; and a sister, Betty Haynes of Lodi, Calif.

Preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patty Brown; and a brother, Robert.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home, with inurnment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Valley Hospice.
