Jurgen Frederick Jebe was ​born January 5, 1877 at Schle​swig-Holstein, Germany​ to Anna Hellers and Henry Jebe.

He emigrated March 1907 to Tama, Iowa.
Found on the Ship's list for emigration: Fred Jebe Arrival Date: March 23, 1907; Birth Year: abt 1877; Birth Location: Schleswig; Age: 30; Male; Ethnicity: German; Port of Departure: Cuxhaven; Port of Arrival: New York, New York Ship Name: Pennsylvania. He was a laborer and was going to work for William Bookmeyer.

Naturalized February 16, 1909 at Tama, Iowa.

Jurgen marr​ied Theresa Arp on October 1,​ 1908 at Dysart, Tama,​ Iowa.

The couple had 4 children: Emil Henry (1909-1996); Wesley Frederick (1913-1993); Elma (1916-1916) and Alice Katherine (1924-2011).

1925: Jurgen Jebe 48, Therese Jebe 35, Alice K Jebe 1, Emil H Jebe 15, Wesley F Jebe 12, Ed Roeh 35.

1930: Jurgen F Jebe 53, Thelma Jebe 40, Emil H Jebe 21, Wesley F Jebe 17, Alice K Jebe 6 .

Jurgen F Jebe died October 27, 1968 at W​aterloo, Black Hawk, I​owa and was buried at the West View​ Cemetery, LaPorte Cit​y, Black Hawk, Iowa.

Obituary found in the Traer S.C. in Traer, Iowa, November 1, 1968: Jurgen Jebe, 91, Dies Sunday; Services Thursday:

Funeral services for Jurgen Frederick Jebe, 91, who died the evening of October 27, 1968 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, were to be held yesterday (Thursday) at Zion Lutheran church in Dysart, at 2 P.M. The Rev. Peter Swiggum, pastor of the church, officiated. Burial was at West View cemetery at La Porte City, Iowa.

Pallbearers were William Tams, Albert Arp, Lloyd Sween, James Babor, C. Eddie Arp and William Arp. Eleanor Holst was organist and Duane Heller vocalist.

Born January 5, 1877, in Schleiswig-Holstein, Germany, he was the son of Heinrich Frederick and Anna Hellers Jebe. He came to America and to Dysart in 1900 and worked near Traer. Mr. Jebe and Theresa Arp were married in the Lutheran parsonage in Dysart on October 1, 1908. The couple observed their 60th wedding anniversary on October 1st of this year. After farming east of Dysart for a while, they moved to a farm in Bruce township, Benton county, near La Porte City in 1910. The couple moved to Dysart in 1942. Mr. Jebe was a member of the Zion Lutheran church in Dysart.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Emil of Ann Arbor, Michigan; and Wesley of La Porte City; and a daughter, Mrs. Henry (Alice) Fleisher of rural La Porte City. Also surviving are two grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
