WATERLOO - DeWayne “Lynn” Moye, 54, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, of natural causes.

He was born Oct. 13, 1958, in Waterloo, son of Melvin and Faylene Haan Mohring.

Mr. Moye graduated from the Plainfield High School, Plainfield, and earned a welding certificate from Hawkeye Community College, Waterloo. For several years he lived in Colorado Springs, Colo., working maintenance at an apartment complex. He moved back to Iowa to work at IBP (Tyson) for seven years. Most recently he had worked at Wal-Mart in Waterloo for nine years, retiring on disability in 2012.

Survived by his mother; a brother, Gerald of Evansdale; two stepbrothers, Bryan and Bradley Mohring, both of Nashua; and a stepsister, Connie (Jeff) Rodseth of Layton, Utah.

Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Fred and Carrie Moye; maternal grandparents, Fred and Mabel Haan; and a stepbrother, Rodney Mohring.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home, Clarksville, with burial in Horton Cemetery, Horton. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today and an hour before services Tuesday, all at the funeral home.
