CEDAR FALLS - Rose Laura Ehmen, 91, of Cedar Falls, died at her home Friday, June 16, 2006.

She was born Dec. 22, 1914, in rural Sac City, daughter of George and Alice Bean Ackerman. She married Henry F. Ehmen on April 6, 1935, in Elk Point, S.D. He died Aug. 26, 2000.

She and her husband farmed in Linn Grove until 1960 and then moved to Cedar Falls.

Survived by: a son, James E. Ehmen of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Loretta (Floyd) Hundley of Janesville and Barbara (James) Ritchie of Cedar Falls; a grandson, Douglas (Alisa) Hundley of Lake City, Minn.; and two great-grandchildren, Devin and Samantha Hundley of Lake City, Minn.

Preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; three brothers, George, David and John Ackerman; and six sisters, Maggie Voorde, Mable Ackerman, Maude Ehmen, Alice Zoffka, Ellen Fredrick and Lola Parrish.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials: may be directed to Visiting Nursing Association or the Cedar Bend Humane Society.
